These Chocolate-POP meringues are fabulously easy to make and who doesn’t like billowy, chewy, chocolately, moreishly popcorn related anything really?!
Meringues + Popcorn = 😋
Makes | 6 medium meringues
Preparation time | 25 minutes
Baking time | 3 hours
3 tbsp of cocoa powder (and some extra for sprinkling)
400g egg whites
200g caster sugar
1 Shed of Rich Chocolate Popcorn
Preheat oven to 100C.
Whisk egg whites until they form white peaks.
Slowly add spoonfuls of sugar while eggs are being whisked at full speed.
Fold in the cocoa powder into the whisked egg whites.
Spoon about two spoonfuls of mixture (per meringue) on to baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle meringue mounds with cocoa powder and Rich chocolate popcorn.
Put into preheated oven and bake for approximately 2 - 3 hours.
You will know the meringue is ready when it can be easily lifted off the parchment paper.
